Doing some reading about Everquest and its ill-fated sequels, and I came across this wild forum post from 2023

Guy paid $100 to pre-order EQ Landmark (2016), then suffered a horrible industrial accident and was in and out of coma for like 8 years. Came back to the forum asking "where's the game?" Turns out they launched then cancelled it in 2017, and he missed it entirely.
