About 10 hrs ago, we enabled Visual Editor by default on English Wikipedia for first time mobile editors. We’re now seeing a dramatic jump in edit attempts! Successful Edits are also increasing (but at a smaller rate)- a first step toward engaging a lot more editors on mobile! this is in alignment and support of a recommendation from our Product and Technology Advisory Council to engage the global south and mobile editors! thank you to all the English Wikipedians who advocated for this change.
