    This is interesting. I have aphantasia and have no trouble recognizing people's faces or telling if two pictures are of the same person if you show both of them to me at the same time. But if there's any memory or visual imagination involved I'm absolutely useless. (E.g. you ask me to describe what someone who isn't there at the time looks like, or what would you look like with different hair or wearing a different color.)

    It's obvious to me that I have some deep structure that tells me when I see him "this is Bob" (and brain science supports this), but I'd really struggle to tell you what Bob looks like.
