Ooh, I was trying to work out how to power the track (it’s weird but I think I understand it now) and lifted up some of the track to find this little treasure trove, including some cool little RPGalike cards for the track

A collection of Scaletrix cars, including a yellow racing car, red mini with a checkerboard pattern, and a blue car. There are several orange cards labeled with various racing-related issues, a circular speedometer that looks like it calculates scale speed

@jonn_blanchard It sounds like this may be your first experience with scalextric? Apologies if it isn't and you are already familiar and can ignore the following.... the tracking wiring diagram is just below the circular track section calculator. Each controller has a track connector that plugs in under the track only on full length straight sections (usually there is one with a start/finish line / grid printed on it.) The other ends of the controller attach to the power transformer. When you say the tracking is "warped".. in what way? They did high speed banked corners that had a built in curve to them. You can recognise them by the thinner/chamfered inner edge of the track curve. All other bits of track have squared edges. Also an assortment of bridges and humps/jumps are straight but have a preformed curve (don't lie flat). Don't try and flatten them. The metal conducting strips will buckle inwards and the car's guide blade will jam on the buckles. Unless the track really has warped? Hope this helps.
Edit add missing "?" To first sentence.
