Dale Vince has lost a lengthy defamation battle against Richard Tice after a judge dismissed his appeal, raising the prospect of hefty legal costs for the Labour donor.

Mr Vince filed a claim in the Court of Appeal seeking to overturn a previous High Court ruling, which related to false claims that the green energy tycoon supported Hamas.
