@Oldfartrant @eric Well, @pluralistic certainly told them so. The article says they laid off their graybeards* - exactly those people with the process knowledge AI can't capture., and what Cory has been cautioning us about for quite a while.
* We clearly need a better, non-sexist term

@eric @Oldfartrant @pluralistic Nice idea, but for me it doesn't work here. It's possible to be a specialist but not very experienced, and experience is what counts. But more importantly, "specialist" implies a narrowness when often it's precisely the breadth of knowledge that counts. So much of this crucial knowledge is at the interface between specialities that we need a specialist in knowing a bit of everything (and often, knowing exactly who to talk to for more depth)
