hm, no, this isn't finding what i want

i want to try making a little light-up indicator to be viewed from the front of a pcb, with the led mounted on the back, and the front copper has letters or a symbol cut out of it so you'd see that part light up

all the reverse-mount leds i can find want me to make a hole and put pads around the hole, but afaik normal pcb manufacturing processes don't let you make a hole through everything *except* one layer of copper
