Should one have elected a "sit still and do nothing" democrat instead, this is apparently the result, as no one would be able to stop all the shit coming from Trump, and then it's worth nothing.

The minimum wage is NOT $30 an hour and the legislation which led to that was a Cuomo/DeBlasio thing a decade ago. Expanding pre-k is good i guess, but in its current incarnation is essentially just an expansion of an existing neoliberal corruption scheme. Collecting parking fines? Something new york is famous for doing? C'mon.

@serverlessaoife @lettosprey @Lana just for the record, I love he’s doing stuff that is much needed. I’m not saying he should be recalled or he’s the worst. I’m not even in NY. I just want him to take care of trans people in NY like he said he would.

@skc @lettosprey @Lana I ranked him first in the primary (preferred Adrienne Adams, but writing was on the wall) and voted for him in the general. My beef is with the constant disinformation about him. Like a similar post in 2009 would read about Obama in six months fixing healthcare, ending the war in Iraq, and protecting abortion rights. Just cult of personality stuff completely separated from reality.

@mason @skc @lettosprey @Lana The City and Hell Gate have been good about confronting him about his many broken promises (not just his ones to trans new yorkers) but most local media are either doing Post style fearmongering or being campaign stenographers.

@mason @skc @lettosprey @Lana Everything I've seen so far is just dodging while highlighting that he made an office for LGBTQI affairs. It doesn't have any power or budget, it just exists under that name.

@Lana @mason @skc @lettosprey Fire Jessica Tisch, disband SRG, stop sending NYPD in to defend ICE, and start enforcing New York City's robust civil rights laws regarding anti-trans discrimination against our local healthcare providers actively abandoning trans patients and actively handing over healthcare records to the feds. This is all day one stuff he campaigned on (he did flip flop on Tisch last minute, but I'm still including it).
