    @paninid A screenshot of a social media post on a black background with white text. The post is by Paul Waldman, [@]paulwaldman.bsky.social, and includes a profile picture of a person wearing glasses. The text starts with, "A story about KY GOP Senate nominee Andy Barr:". It continues, "In 2019 he got mad at AOC and demanded she come to his district to visit a coal mine. She said yes, which he didn't expect, so he withdrew the invitation." The post concludes with, "Then it turned out there were no working coal mines in his district. Because he's an idiot."

    @paninid

    I've toured several mines. And it was never even on a dare. Nor for work.

    @paninid I grew up with coal miners. I can promise you that they aren't sacred cows, and the skills required are immediately transferable.

    @paninid that is such a true statement!

    i don't necessarily buy in to the "multiverse", but if there are multiple universes, we have to be in the dumbest one.

    the average person is more likely to believe in a conspiracy theory or some invisible sky daddy than believe in actual science. this world is just too stupid😞
