the more deals like this get made, the more I see merit in increased suspicion of such grant-giving entities, which very few developers seem to share. and I guess I don't entirely blame them. a lot of people building the Fediverse are broke as fuck, and it's good to be paid for your work.

but when entities like the "Sovereign Tech Agency" start funding censorship infrastructure, and platforms like Delta Chat take a bunch of grant money from NLnet... we need to be aware of that. @maikel
