Every time you feel pressured by management to compromise and cut corners with the software you're building, ask yourself. Can I live with this state of the system when one day those managers are fired and you get a new manager who's even more desperate to deliver in a tech debt environment? If not, then find a way to build good software despite the pressure. Learning to say no in a professional, polite and emphatic way is one of the most important skills to develop as an engineer.

Also, when you change jobs, don't just stop saying no during the notice period. People will notice that you stopped caring and will know you've quit, unless that is your intention of course. Also, not practicing the skill degrades it, so it's still worth caring, even if you don't really.
