gosh I am so stoked bc the changes in the language and the district borders reflect not just the families/surnames I know, but the BIG history - Austrians, Congress Poland, Russians, liberation, there's some really vintage Polish in what I've seen too - and my history teacher was right: look to understand big historical events through the everyday events LET'S GO BIRTHS DEATHS MARRIAGES

also quite lucky in that so far, there wasn't much location changing and imagine that if my family lived *4 km to the east* some of the documents are not scanned, and what is scanned is because someone from Salt Lake City requested it, presumably looking for their roots 😅
