Thing I didn't realize until just now: It is theoretically feasible to land on Uranus because, unlike Jupiter and Saturn, it actually has a discrete (though liquid) surface and the gravity there is less than Earth's.

The one thing I'm not clear on is how the surface-pressure compares to, say, Venus (the literal acid-test of probe survivability).

...not that there would be a lot to see, on a global sea...

TFW you can no longer access StackOverflow because the bot-check they put into place to stop LLMs from scraping their content and driving users towards using LLMs instead of actually reading StackOverflow loops endlessly and won't let you in.

Proposal: a site called something like "Why Do You Care?" which lets you pick political issues that matter to you, and then pulls up the policies/laws/bills which affect those issues, how it affects them, how candidates have voted on those policies, and any other context that seems relevant (with links or fold-out sections as necessary to not be overwhelming).

In case anyone is wondering, I'm about halfway through migrating the #TootCat wiki from an old congested server to a new/better one, but I'm running into DB issues doing the MediaWiki upgrade and I'm pretty much out of time for tonight.

...not that anyone is likely to be missing it as a result, since it had been all-but-unusable for awhile now (sorry about that).

Hopefully tomorrow I can get this figured out. :tootcat:
