Honest question to the nonbinary community:

I just had a case where a binary person got very upset for being referred to as "they" by somebody who did not know her gender or preferred pronoun.

Which got me reflecting on the opposite use:

Would a nonbinary person be upset by using "they/them" as a generic pronoun for cases were a gender identity is either unknown, or not relevant to the discussion? As in the common practice to write "they" in references, even if the person talked about is clearly binary.

I am getting lazy and would like to copy and paste more than typing equations into LaTeX. Currently using the Education account of Mathpix, which works brilliantly (but is limited).

I was wondering if there is an open source alternative to it?
