Need to get rid of #aiSlop? Try the Slop Chop!

Got my website to 96% on mobile and 99% on desktop with the stupid Google Lighthouse rating by implementing sane fonts and cache control.

Not the most exciting website update but it's a good one.

With the new Canadian tariffs for US based whey, we have a new kind of vain scarcity: cow goo protein supplements. So I switched to the most complete plant based protein I could find.

It tastes like fermented vegetables doused in vanilla.

Man I need lots of healthy food choices if I'm going to be a hero for fun. Like nuts. There's really nothing wrong with a nice "nut snack"

Do you like nuts in your mouth?

Don't you just love it when a meeting gets canceled?

Meanwhile, the best I can do is vandalize her discarded landscape

And yes, I know: The vim project receives LLM contributions. The truth is, you don't get to know when and where these LLM contributions happen all the time.

It feels like fighting a hornet's nest with a fly swatter.

I have to navigate all the shitty around the very close AI influence and "research and AI enablement" projects I am more or less forced into at work now.

I can't even kid myself into an AI free lifestyle. My income is too important to my family, so upstream vim will have to do.

After the "fun" I had in the Neovim Github tracker this week, I poured a ton of love back into my old vimrc.

I also updated my website theme to pair up with the new vim colorscheme I'm enjoying.

And lastly, I redirected my financial support for Neovim back into Vim.. I even own some of the official merch. I'll drop it off at a donation center the next time I go to the dump.

Life goes on, man.

Well, that settles that at, at least. Welcome to the Pacific Garbage Patch Kids club.

We should all be ashamed :eyeroll:

Apparently this issue has been brought up about the Neovim website already and was deleted - tooting it here so that there is some record.

@easilok also fyi if you had a similar use case just replace ConjureConnect with I think cider-connect(?) and you're doing it in Emacs

CC: @easilok - sorry it took so long.

Also, Helix is super freaking Nix user friendly. My configuration is will ensure a smooth setup wherever I home-manager

In light of the Helix editor getting a scheme based plugin system maybe even before next year, I've decided to deep dive on it a little.

I love how hard my Vim muscles carry me. Most Helix motions already feel natural. Inverting selection and action is easy to adapt to.

Helix has damn near all my boxes ticked with zero plugin dependency. The things I am missing are just shell abstractions like :vimgrep and quick fix lists (just use sed). So, I get closer to the shell.

My dumbbell and kettlebell exercises now meet and exceed my 5 year old's body weight of 40lbs. This feels like a huge accomplishment to me. I could literally throw her out of a burning building nevermind carry her.

Bash tells us why she enjoys Doom #emacs for many of the reasons why I end up using it again, eventually. This time I will resist :)
