Well. That’s not confusing labeling. Obviously the “C” stands for Covid and the “T” is test line, right? Or so I thought at first glance. In fact, the C is Control and the T is, uh, Covid.

Huh. I remember a while back there was a website structured as a puzzle game where you started with "not" and "nand" gates and in a series of challenges you build the rest of the log gates and from there an adder and eventually pieces of a cpu. Annoyingly, I can't find it, now.

Fuck yeah historical storm data.

Hey, I was just reminded that "17776", aka ""What football will look like in the future", is a delightful thing that has graced our internet since 2018. (mostly - looks like some linked video content has been removed by youtube.) Anyways, you don't need to be a football fan to enjoy it, I promise. (I'm not and I enjoyed it.)

I was not aware of this. I probably don't want to ride the D but might have to make a visit to the bar anyways next time I'm out there.

Don't use Memorial Drive either, kids!

Grabbers. Still a feckin delight of a movie. Aliens invade an island off the Irish coast. Booze up and save yourselves!

You know, I think there are body horror movies that start this way.

Absolutely savage.

Hey Camberville/Boston area folks - what are your favorite restaurants to recommend to folks who are vegetarian? I know Veggie Galaxy is good, I think Sarma usually has some good veggie options. (Vegetarian, not vegan)

Happy Skynet-goes-active day to all who celebrate.

Hey, folks going to hacker summer camp: I was just out in LV and was lax with masking and now I have covid. So, big thumbs up for y’all masking more reliably than I did.

I'm next to a window and feel like I'm trapped in some kind of overprocessed cgi bullshit movie scene with absurd post-apocalyptic skies. Or maybe "actually, they're on MARS" (but gravity seems to be standard earth and I can breathe so that's not it)

Whaaaaaat is this weirdness? Okay, gonna have to buckle down and read through this.

No lie detected.

I kinda want to rewrite the text in the form of the "What you refer to as Linux" bit of nerd-shitposting. But I got as far as "What you refer to as T-Rex is actually \textit{T. rex}" and then sort of sputtered out.

And more math problems, I misremembered and I started my career in networking in 1994. I moved west to WA in early 1996. So, 32 years of networking. A better power-of-two number, but still.

I have been doing this networking stuff for 30 years - since 1996 - and once in a while I still make stupid math mistakes with wildcard masks.
