I’m sure someone has made this joke before, but for completeness: if we adopt a new level of hurricane, can we please call it Cat 6e?

I think your company may have a problem if A) it has a "Criticism of" wikipedia article and B) said article has a "This article is too long" tag on it

#CDCsays YOLO

(please pass this along to those you know in the Public Health field, who will all certainly want to thank their favorite staffers) #PublicHealth #statistics #epidemiology #globalsouth #WorldHealthOrganisation #cdc #cdcsays #disease #Pandemic #covid19 #CovidIsNotOver #infectiousdisease #MedMastodon

#CDCsays pretty sure your uncle who died from C19 had multiple comorbidities, so that’s kinda really on him, if you think about it?

#CDCsays Congratulations to our valued and docile CDC employees, who just won the coveted “Most Compliant Federal Workers to Political Interference” award for the 4th year running!

#CDCsays Walk it off

#CDCSays We were getting imperfect uptake on condoms, so we decided to stop recommending them.

https://yourdigitalrights.org/ is proving useful to get companies with no "delete you account" button to delete my account after receiving a strongly worded email :)

I find it impossibly challenging to know how to live in a world surrounded by people who show me everyday by their actions that they want me dead.

You do not care. You have no moral compass.

I know you will kill me or leave me severely disabled if I let you. If I weren’t already resisting with everything I’ve got it would already be happening. Especially this week in Spain at #TPAC

Fuck all of you who have such little regard for other people’s lives. You do not have the right to eliminate me.

Apparently I’m not making a big enough deal of this.

Where are the CDC whistleblowers?

Pass it on.

I would really like some insight from Tootistan on the following, please:

Why is the whole world retreating from COVID sanity in lockstep?

Like, I get that NZ had good early stuff, that China maintained Zero COVID until they didn’t, that a masking culture in east Asia has kept things somewhat better.

But the direction is consistent and doesn’t appear to vary by some pretty vast cultural differences.

Yes, fine, ostrich it is a human universal. But how is there no remaining culture/country/government style that we are currently pointing to like “hey, see, they can do it, why can’t we?”

I feel like that’s frequently the role of Canada, but they seem to be out-USing the US these days in terms of lack of foresight.

Is there a place that I’m missing? Why isn’t there an outlier if there isn’t?

#covid #CovidIsNotOver

I think I’m done trying to see the other side, trying to feel the difficulty that resulted in the moral compromise of those who are “post-COVID”, trying to give benefit of the doubt to lack of access to knowledge rather than willful lack of knowledge or just plain selfishness.

I just 100% feel betrayed, personally, by each and every fucking one of you, who owed and owe me and everyone else better.

Could we please all just describe the “back to office” thing as “corporate spite” rather than “corporate greed”?

Absolutely no one actually believes bringing a ton of people back to the office for no reason* will improve profits. It’s just a thing a bunch of idiot MBAs say to assert dominance or sound serious or whatever it is they do.

*yes, fine, firefighting needs to happen on site

Pissed that CDC is still on about handwashing. Pissed that #WashingtonDC #DCisOpen #DCisOpenForCOVID. Pissed that my government at all levels is just waiting to see if they need to act. About pandemics, climate, totalitarianism, too many cars, and MBAs.
