The tech giants are creating a system with the appeal of a 19th-century factory, complete with oppressed and estranged workers, without delivering the sole benefit: cheaper stuff. After each conversation about AI, ask what the true cost of the tokens would be. Nobody knows, but raising awareness is a good idea.

I almost ditched my published #GeminiProtocol capsules. Well, and then I saw how fast #Gemini runs using #AmiGemini on #Amiga and #MorphOS. Reason enough to stay with it.

Ok, back at @elementary on the ThinkPad. elementary OS has its shortcomings regarding functionality and quality, but at least it‘s a joy to use that FullHD display again. Using @gnome on 1.25x scale it feels like space wasted and very untidy, on Xfce it‘s blury. On #elementary: It just looks nice. It‘s interesting how much the UI levels up the hardware. The ThinkPad suddenly feels good again.
Caught a bad cold. Woke up all night and found myself dreaming about #WebObjects. Is this a sign from the heavens? And what do they want to tell me?

Ok, whatever backup solution I try they fail with IO errors because of the underlying gfvs SMB implementation. That's bad. Gonna try AFP, but I think that's gonna be very slow. Otherwise I probably need to update the whole system. That sounds like quite some work…
