They want you to believe that resistance is futile. They want you to _feel_ that, in your bones. That's how they win.

Let it be known that "AI Minister" sounds as pathetic and fad-chasing as "Beanie Baby Minister" or "NFT Minister".

Lately I've taken to adding a few spices or veggies or other ingredients to store-bought pasta sauces, so I can pretend I'm cooking.

Today I was going to add a dash of cinnamon, but I slipped up ...

Anyway. Marinara with garlic, red chili flakes, paprika, a touch of basil, and two tablespoons (probably less, in reality, but a lot) of cinnamon.

It was fairly tasty.

Next time I might try to briefly heat it up with butter and sugar before adding it, to make cinnamon toast spaghetti sauce.

I started creating a new hobby project from scratch last night (yes, another one) and I was midway through setting up the web server stack on it (using Caddy) when I realized that everything I'd planned on coding for the code side of things could literally just be a Caddyfile.

So that's interesting.

Apparently the skunks have rabies now. Don't get too close.

It used to be the case that there were two key indicators of a pending precipitous decline in a software project's quality:

1. The company IPOs
2. The company is acquired

But now we can add two more to the list:

3. The company doubles down on AI for some reason

4. The company starts funding nazis

Though, in all fairness, 1-3 are strong directional indicators for 4 being next on the docket. Especially 3.

I suppose dumping it on Apple Day, where it will likely receive almost no mainstream (positive) attention, is some small comfort.

"DigitalOcean what r u doing?"

I'm so very tired.

What term would work best for raising awareness of "smart appliances" that spy on you?

Awesome!

Although, don't forget to rate the apps you actually like.

And! There's an option there to turn off app store video autoplay.

Every mineral show should have this

I was thinking of maybe emailing 1pw to voice my concerns, but procrastinating. And then they hit me with a "support for 1password 7 is going away" email, so I sent a snarky reply.

RIP Tim Curry.

If you didn't watch The Hunt for Red October last month when Sam Neill passed, you definitely need to watch it now.

@NetNewsWire Is there a way to apply a colour filter to a feed, particularly in the iOS app?

I subscribe to an earthquakes RSS feed and the visual jumble is hard to visually parse. I'd like to be able to change the colour based on earthquake magnitude.

(It's also out of chronological order, which is weird)

Wish I could afford to make a sequence where River Cartwright drops into other TV shows, crossover style. I can't decide if it would be funnier for them to think he's an idiot of a spy, or for him to be acknowledged and praised by them only to culminate in a reality check from Jackson Lamb.

* The Diplomat
* The Night Manager
* Citadel
* Ride or Die
* Ludwig (cop show, not a spy show, but it would be amusing)
* Black Doves
* The Day of the Jackal

And just for fun: Burn Notice.
