I didn’t say you cannot read it — esp if you are a reporter and need to see what your subjects are posting — but participating in it, which is largely performative, is bullshit. It does not help you get more audience — it never did, btw. If you want that, you are better off on LinkedIn. I stopped posting years ago and had more than 1.5 million followers, so it would have cost me more than most and it simply did not cost a thing. I have grown all my media offerings without it easily.

There are, no surprise, too many of them and they largely traffic in persistent grievancr. Huge lane elsewhere, including in disagreeing civilly and leaning into solutions, which is why @pivotpodcastofficial and others like it are growing.
