Overkill thing to add? hell yeah, maybe? 😅 But with it I've got to practice SVG filters, 11ty Fetch, Sharp image processing, and running code before/after the build process.

Already got a few skills picked up from here to apply to another project 🥳

The first iteration of my sites arachnid blocker was just a SVG pixelation filter. While the filter worked, it had the potential to fail if the CSS didn't load for whatever reason... suddenly, spiders everywhere!

As a quick v2 before launch, it's now setup to fetch any arachnid photos needed, and then use the sharp library to process _actual_ pixelated images by first squishing down to 10x10px and then scaling back up to 300x300px.

I don't know if such messages would bother me or not (They probably would lol), but it'd be draining all the same.

I'm beyond tired of it, seeing it, seeing folks talk about it, and _it_ occupying my mind at all. This post even! 😅

While I might one day write negatively about it in my /notebook/ (blog) I don't know if such a prominent policy page is going going to be of much use at all.

Having such a policy page linked in the footer makes it an easy page to find, and I've certainly benefited before when checking out sites and seeing they had one.

At least I think I did? but I probably already had an idea, or would have found out soon enough anyway.

Such an easy to find page could just as easily attract the ire of those that _love_ Ạ̵̫̬̍́̔̎Ḯ̷̤̯̳̰̆̈́̓͋̚̚ and want to send me mean emails that they didn't write themselves.

Is potential client #103 that wants a site for their dog walking business going to give a shit? Probably not.
