Policeman approaches the Bank Robber! How will my State Engine deal with it?

Next NPC is a police officer that randomly tracks down a person, arrest them and sends them to jail for set amount of time. Art imitates Life.

Latest addition to my town is a fireman that runs around putting out random fires.

Amazing how many comments on my blog go right to spam because people can't follow simple directions:

It's not rocket science.

After a short while the NPCs are dumping trash everywhere making the place into a pigsty. Art imitates life.

Rather than randomly spawn trash, I'm making it when two NPC get into a conversations, one of them drops trash. Choke points like the gully into town are going to become filled with trash. Not to worry, the trash collector will clean it up. Just like your Mom.

I took a workshop this weekend on Bonsai shaping and styling. It was a lot of fun, but I really missed undo.

All the NPCs now have tasks in the world. The biggest job is for the trash collector who has to roam around collecting trash.

Every time I work on the AI of my game I feel dirty. Damn tech bros wrecking the good kind of AI.

Path finding highways.

Pathing finding for 50 NPCs, takes 2-5 seconds for them to calculate a path, but no FPS drop. I think we have a winner. Now, I just need a game!

Implemented path finding so NPCs can walk from/to anywhere on the map. Path finding happens in small steps over several frames because it's a large map. The NPC might take several seconds to find a path, but the game doesn't pause while it's doing that.
