I’m reading ‘Black Holes’ by Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw. #Mathematics is a huge blind spot for me, and I’m trying to understand this footnote ‘log 2 = 1.4427’. Where does that number come from? I can’t coerce my calculator to produce it. Even autocorrect wants to say log 2=0.301. #physics #FeelingStupid

I'm struggling for ideas to make my parents' lives easier. Mum's mobility has deteriorated to the point where she's struggling to transfer herself from her wheelchair. Right now what we need is a service we could call where someone comes and helps... but there doesn't seem to be anything between 'call a friend' and 'call an ambulance'. Ideas most welcome; I just don't know what to do or who to talk to. #eldercare #elderly
