if you would be willing to share one thing under this poll that you are doing to help make feddy a nice time for others I think a lot of people are probably going to see it, and many of us will find it instructive.
are you having a nice time on feddy?

I do advocate training to failure. but not this level of failure.

some DIY light carpentry today sanding a cabinet with my new oscillating power tool.
if you are interested in developing the strength of the hands and forearm muscles, I recommend regularly sanding cabinets with an oscillating tool, alternating hands. 🤌
got a marketing email from a therapy centre with the subject What Is Your Face Telling You? and the answer is for them to get out of it
BROE.
"smart" domestic coffee machine appliance found to send 1TB of data in a single day.
may I suggest investing instead in an elite level coffee making machine currently on the market that can reduce your coffee privacy data violations by a staggering 1TB per day.

wonder how things is going in the kegbreath household right now.
tense, I would imagine. perhaps close to the line.
quick tip for any drunk bigot cowards out there earning their pencil neck a nuremberg warrant:
waging an unwinnable war where your opponent's primary attack vector is your country's economic supremacy is neither peace nor strength.
in the event that a drunk bigot coward makes such a move, the only way out involves a bottle of the good stuff and one in the chamber.
all right, I've gone over my complaining budget for the day so say something nice about something instead.
there is a type of person who picks up rubbish that isn't theirs off the side of the road purely for the sake of tidiness. if you are that person, please know that everybody on Earth thinks you are wonderful.
the worst of the worst recruitment platforms I have seen:
1. prevuehr dot com
openly "tracks" candidates, and coerces consent and superfluous data, including other people's data, as a condition of submitting an application. they extort their own clients in that way.
2. workday dot com
claims ownership and rights to your data. many banks in NZ use this one which is surprising because NZ banks have been trying hard for over a decade to brand themselves as systematically protecting user data.
huge shoutout to chips.
a big step I made years ago was to limit my social media consumption to fediverse only, and not consume anything in any corporate owned shite. judging by the mental health benefits of it that decision is quite likely to have prolonged my life.
another step I made more recently is to not consume any slop. to block it at its vector and its source. that has been quite good too.
another one has been to post or boost no news that fails to offer a solution to the problem it is earning money from.
"we live in the worst timeline" is a popular saying by people on the high news / low data diet.
we recognise the food we consume becomes our body, but we don't often reflect on the fact that the information we consume becomes our mind in the exact same way.
I am slowly and steadily cleaning up my information diet and it is paying off immensely.
