The Japanese have a website where they have been tracking El Nino for decades at https://www.eorc.jaxa.jp/AMSR/elnino/
This year's El Nino is magnitudes beyond anything in recorded history.
The Japanese need to get a bigger Y-axis. The magnitude of this years El Nino is literally through their chart.
A large share of the methane emissions our species are causing come from landfills where we just dump our waste and leave it to be future generations problem and leaks in our gas transport systems.
Turkey will host this years COP conference in November. If you don't know what "COP" is: It's a meaningless for-show supposed climate conference where scientists who have had their statements approved by every single participating nation, including oil producing nations, can present a water-downed version of reality and talk about completely unrealistic and already in the rear-view mirror goals
Turkey has one of the worst methane-emitting landfills in the world. None of the countries participating in the COP conferences are leading by example. We need to cut all emissions to zero immediately and change our collective behavior from harming the planet to healing the planet or biosphere collapse will progress until nothing is left alive.
MOST OF THE WORLD HAS RECENTLY SET HEAT RECORDS
78% of the land surface area has set all-time monthly heat records after 2000, and the extreme heat area is accelerating fast. (6 Oct. 2026, Zeke Hausfather, The Climate Brink)
Climate scientist who think technology will somehow save us from rapid runaway global warming and biosphere collapse are less likely to take any action what so ever compared to scientists who understand that technology is what got us into this mess in the first place so more technology can only do more harm.
The evidence based science gang has studied global temperature data collected by Britannia, who must never be allowed to rule again, and found that August 2026 was the hottest August since air temperature record keeping begun.
They have also found that the rate our planet is warming at is many times the long term average and it has more than doubled in the last few decades.
Our planet is now warming at a rate of 3 degrees Celsius per century according to the British data. That is how much we have changed the earth's energy imbalance. Every day we continue to burn 25 million tonnes of coal and 100 million barrels of oil makes this very unfortunate predicament worse.
The global average sea surface temperature was one degree Celsius higher than it was in 1980 at the end of September 2026. The oceans are now the warmest they have ever been since detailed record keeping begun. The area of the ocean called El Nino is exceptionally hot.
The global average surface air temperature is currently 1.46 degree Celsius higher than it was in 1940.
Two centuries of unchecked ever-increasing fossil fuel consumption with resulting greenhouse gas pollution is catching up with us. We have changed the earth's atmosphere and our planets energy imbalance and the increasing temperatures we are seeing are a result of that imbalance over time.
There is no fix, there is no way we can remove the greenhouse gasses we have already released from the atmosphere. This is a very unfortunate predicament. We absolutely can avoid making this predicament worse, but that is not what the vast majority of people are doing. Most people choose to accelerate the rapid global warming we have caused by driving a car.
Please take personal responsibility for the consequences of your own actions and don't drive a car.
Our species is in deep overshoot and we have damaged the biosphere beyond repair. We are far beyond seven planetary boundries. This predicament needs to become your primary concern and our species primary concern.

Peter Carter is the Director of the Climate Emergency Institute, a IPCC expert reviewer and a published author on climate change, sustainable development and biodiversity.
He is trying to warn us that the planets biosphere is in rapid collapse due to our species grossly irresponsible behavior both individually and collectively.
"Constant growth economics has been constantly killing the planet."
We have breached seven of nine different planetary boundaries and we are making that predicament worse every single day. Runaway global warming is only one of the many ways we are securing the end of our species and all life on earth.
Please take personal responsibility for your own footprint on the biosphere and do what you can to avoid making this predicament worse.

"The gold standard of climate change, global warming, ocean heating, everything, which is called earth energy imbalance has doubled, it's actually now more than doubled. That is future climate catastrophe.
So we have all of these precise 100% certain indicators, measurements that the scientists are communicating on a monthly basis and on an annual basis, world methrological organization just did one just a couple of weeks ago, but nothing's being done. We're not actually using them at all. It's a completely absurd insane situation."
-Peter Carter, the Director Climate Emergency Institute, an IPCC expert reviewer and a published author on climate change, sustainable development and biodiversity in a video presentation titled "Accelerating climate change to Jan. 2025".
Hey @MissConstrue on the topic of those "AI" GPUs not getting installed..
"Oracle has sent a force majeure notice to the developer of Project Jupiter, a Stargate data center campus in New Mexico, Bloomberg first reported Thursday."
"Project Jupiter is one of the flagship sites of Stargate, the AI infrastructure initiative Oracle, OpenAI, and SoftBank announced with President Donald Trump early in his second term."
Our species has eradicated around 17% of the trees we used to have in the Amazon and more than half the trees we used to have globally.
There will eventually be no trees left if we keep eradicating them at a much faster rate than they are reproduced by natural growth.
This is just one of the many planetary boundaries we dangerously are far beyond.
Many people, including those in governments, are clueless as to where we stand in regards to the overall health of the biosphere we all depend on to live.
The Norwegians recently released a report titled "How Consumer Policy Can Enable a Circular Economy".
In it they state "climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution affect consumers directly through higher prices, reduced access to goods and greater uncertainty in global supply chains."
Higher prices are the least of our concerns.
Our species begun changing the atmospheres composition by burning fossil fuels two centuries ago and we have been gradually increasing our fossil fuel use ever since. We have changed the earth's energy imbalance so much that our planet is currently warming at a rate of four degrees celcius per century, and our species is still increasing the earth's energy imbalance by burning a hundred million barrels of oil every single day. If you drive a car then you are contributing to making this predicament worse. Please take personal responsibility for your own actions and do not use a car.
Runaway global warming is far from our only predicament.
More than half the trees our planet used to have are gone, and our species is consuming the remaining trees at an alarming rate.
Global insect populations are down north of eighty percent.
We are far outside of countless planetary boundaries and there are now eight billion people who will soon be fighting for what little remains to be fought over.
Our species will face biosphere collapse if we stay on our current course. Biosphere collapse means that you and everyone else will die a horrible death. It is a very unfortunate outcome that may be inevitable even if we change course and we start acting responsibly today. That is the seriousness of our predicament, that is why we absolutely need to do everything we can to heal our planet. The first obvious step is to stop doing massive additional damage to our planet every single day.
The historically huge sea surface temperature increases we have seen over the last few years are not uniform. Some areas are now a lot hotter while others are not.
The area of the Pacific ocean scientists refer to as the El Nino is currently much, much hotter than it has been in recorded history. That part of the sea is way out of normal range. Next year will be a lot hotter than this record hot year due to the pattern currently unfolding.
The weak will perish.
The global average surface air #temperature is currently 1.6°C #hotter than it was this time of the year in 1970 and the average global sea surface temperature is one degree Celsius higher than it was in 1980.
Our species begun changing our planets energy imbalance two centuries ago. Today's increased temperatures are a result of that gradually increasing energy imbalance we have created and the time it has been in place.
Please don't make it worse by using a car.
Our species have been horrible stewards of our planet for many centuries, and the biosphere we depend on to live is now in rapid collapse as a result. There's countless factors at play. Plastic pollution is a huge one, and it's something each and every one of us can do something about by avoiding plastic products whenever possible. Every piece of plastic produced is a problem that will inevitably turn into more problems.
We humans begun changing the atmosphere's composition by burning fossil fuels centuries ago. That triggered runaway global warming, and that process has been accelerating in recent years. Most people are doing massive harm which accelerates runaway global warming even more each and every day. Peter Carter and other climate scientists have been trying to warn us for years and years and years, decades even. Please listen.
