Is it just me, or does it seem like overkill to write a static website with Next.js? I'm not familiar with JS frameworks or working with them in general, so I'm actually not sure.

Not just about the campaign, either. But there were lots of "No Soliciting" "No Door Knocking" "No Bell Ringing" signs all over the place.

It's actually kind of insane how weird middle-class Americans are about things like door knocking or canvassing.

I just got back from door knocking for a Congressional District campaign in a very middle-class area, and most of the people I was able to talk to just flat out refused to speak with me at all. They weren't rude or anything, but you could tell they were very uncomfortable speaking with a live human being.

We are planning to release new Mastodon security updates for versions 4.4, 4.5, 4.6 and nightly this Monday, Jul 27, at around 14:00 UTC.

It solves two major security issues.

We encourage server administrators to plan for an update in the hours following the release to ensure their instance is protected. These versions will not require database migrations.
