We interrupt your Whiskers Wednesday coverage to bring you Waffles at the vet yesterday. He gets to wear that bee costume for the next week or two to help keep his continuous glucose monitor on! (He is a bit murderous about that)

Eclipse! Whoever posted the colander photo earlier, thanks - we couldn’t find the glasses so this is how we watched it!

The room I'm in at the moment would probably have been pushing 40C by now prior to installing the film. It's 28.2C.

Downstairs didn't get above 26, the ordinarily hottest room didn't get above 28

So today is the first uncomfortably hot day we've had since I installed all that window film around the house. And while it had been making a difference at lower temperatures, today it *really* counted.

Until this point, 30C outside meant easily hitting 36+ inside. Instead, today at 32-33C outside it's still in the 20s inside. Walking outside has been like hitting a wall of heat, the difference is so great.

It looks cool as an image but it just seems weird when you see it moving
