The tree in my yard I originally thought was Staghorn Sumac is actually an invasive Tree of Heaven and FULL of invasive spotted lantern bugs. So. That’s a thing.

The tree will have to go clearly. They’re a pain to destroy though. They grow back from the roots. #Detroit

I will not watch the Fort Hood execution the same way I wouldn’t have watched if the J6ers had been publicly executed. No death should ever be a spectacle. Those who treat it as such damage themselves.

@glyph Blood for the blood god? In this economy?

Chatting with coworkers before a meeting and mild apologies for my dragging state since the vaccine response meant I slept bad.

One was SHOCKED I get the covid boosters. So I guess it’s worth normalizing that still?

Midtown Compost picks mine up weekly from the porch. The driver once spent an hour of his shift securing a stray dog that was in danger on the street and found it a home. The cost is pretty low. #Detroit https://mstdn.social/@redcrew/117406727582508477

I hope to try that tonight. https://infosec.exchange/@kallisti/117404312941385170

God wants Mike Johnson to dedicate his life to lawn care. Who are you to thwart God’s will, America? #Vote

Cabled fingerless mitts for a friend having a rough time. Deciding on a cowl or hat pattern to go with

Fuck mass surveillance. Fuck cops and their arrogance. Thankfully one judge did the right thing to combat ALPRs like Flock. But not all judges will.

Automatic license plate readers have to go. I applaud all of the brave folks showing up at local government meetings to voice their opposition. We must keep up the fight.

If we live in a police state, we don’t live in a free Democracy.

how it feels to try to make a new friend as an adult

A little landscape in an illustrative style made for the current season. I have contrasted the autumnal hues with some teal mark making and outline.

Who could say no to this face? Me, because if I didn’t overcome Odin’s god-tier cuteness several times a day, I’d never get to eat my own food again

Even without AI if you try and do software this way the output sucks so so bad. https://fed.brid.gy/r/https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:load6huwmiff3v67iyzkghzw/post/3mxctz2nrtk2v

I’ll try a pagan friend, thought I, since Christian kindness has proved but hollow courtesy.

The hyper independent in your life has been conditioned to feel this is dangerous, painful, useless or a burden. If they trust you to handle something for them you have no idea what a flex that is. https://hachyderm.io/@selfcaregentle/117403959418401034

Booster side effects whining goes here.

(It’s fine. I hate mild chills is all)

all the subtle demonisms of life and thought

Made the mistake of commenting on an article about women not adopting AI as much and the career impacts.

Women commenting to me about the struggles in their jobs dealing with other people’s slop.

Men rushing to tell me woman aren’t adopting it because we’re all too dumb to understand how it works.

This is the second year in a row that I've caught someone cheating on an university level exam because THEY LEFT THE PROMPT IN THE ANSWER.

Sometimes I weep for the future....
