I told a colleague that I will be leaving for another role and she got very excited and said that she hoped the new org would do right by me.

She then sent me an email with an attached email. It was an email that she had sent to 3 levels of my management praising me last February as consistently working above my level and having mastery like no other.

It was accompanied with incredibly kind words about what she thinks of me and my performance.

Impact I did not know that I had.
