Oh, good, I didn't try to work on my book while being phased out yesterday.

Sometimes I feel really lucky to have work that I can do without using more than 1% brain power.

What stresses me a lot more than spouses AI use is the recent fights with Kid2.
They're deeply engaged in pubertizing and have *no* thoughts except for those around bodybuilding (OK, that and Communism, which is a silver lining).
It's a normal thing, I know.
It'll pass, I know.
But fuck, it's annoying.

A new pattern emerged.

• Spouse texts me with some problem.
• I empathize / offer help / ask a few questions.
• Spouse gives her opinion and asks for mine.
• I give my opinion.
• Several minutes pass.
• Spouse answers with screenshots of her "conversation" with Chad Shittypee on the topic.
• The chatbot has the last word.

More often than not it's just the last two steps.

Any good news? Had fun? Made something nice? Bright spots in the dark? I'd like to hear about it. It's cold outside.

Although, as they now explicitly claimed, it *should* work! 🫤 I'll wait a little longer, but I have a bad feeling about it.

Now I feel bad for people I told that my book-post address was working without knowing if it does for postcards.

I envy people who are immune to the side effects of "daylight savings time". I always need two weeks to adjust in either direction. But I tend to forget that after only one week, so the second, I feel tired and grumpy all the time blaming random other stuff unless I remember the DST effects.
Hard to imagine for people who don't have them, but it's true.

I asked them for clarification. They say I need a little more patience, they usually don't throw postcards away. It should appear in my inbox soon.
OK, I'll wait...

Last week, as a test, I sent a postcard to my official authors address as it's printed in my books. It should be collected by a service company, scanned and emailed to me. So far, nothing. 🤷
I hope they don't exclusively scan actual letters and throw postcards away by default. TOS aren't quite clear on that end. They throw away advertisement flyers and the like, tho...

I should sleep now. Twas a long day with another long day ahead. N8.

At the hotel finally. Small, cheap, simple. There's breakfast. Don't need more than that.

Ngl, one nice aspect of being away from home is being able to sleep without earplugs for a few days.

Hear me out!
What if...
Pumpkin soup?

Great. New work-safety-posters in the break room feature sad, injured slop-people with big weird, uncanny eyes. Wtf?!

helo

Please help, Chad ShittyPee, when looking away from the screen, I often kinda feel... better?
What is this madness?
