Anyone else playing Civilization V with the new access mod?

Is it just me, or is reading by paragraphs not working with #NVDASR and Google Chrome?

what are people using these days to listen to local radio stations? Is Tunin still a thing?

With that said, once you have stuff customized properly, talk back is a lot more capable than it appears on first blush. I can see why people stick with it. And I'm loving stock Android. The glance feature is something Apple's widgets wishes it was.

Why in the world turning off "handle gestures in talk back" makes talk back snappier and less prone to accidental and delayed swipes and taps? Shouldn't it do the opposite? Stuff like this is why AT instructors hesitate to recommend Android. Some of this is very much not beginner frienddly.

To anyone that has worked in access technology, what would be your cut off point for magnification to switch someone to a screen reader?

I guess this person never read Victor Hugo, J. RR. R. Tolking, Homer, or many other classic works of literature. Hell, while Fawkner might be short, everything he wrote was self-important and felt interminable. https://mastodon.social/@anon_opin/115185530049484016

Question to talk back users. I have a pixel 9a for testing, and I'm encountering something weird. Half the time, when I double tap, it doesn't register my inputs. It also happens with other gestures, but not as often. Is there a setting I need to adjust? Something I'm doing wrong? I also borrowed one of my student's galaxy s25 to test this, and saw it happening there.

What is the most accessible virtualization product on windows? I'm looking to run a few lynux distros, but don't want to deal with particions

The more I work around access tech, the more I see brilliant blind developers that lack even the thinnest bit of social empathy or the lack the ability to look at something and think, "why is this difficult for someone?"

Man, what is it with blind programmers and tech nerds. I swear most of them have forgotten how incredibly difficult 'learning the basics of any technology can be. Especially if you don't have the scaffolding needed to learn. Hell, most people, regardless weather they are blind or not, they only learn enough tech to do their jobs and that's it.
