So the night out with my work colleagues went ok - a bit ill-prepared (we were kicked out of our crazy golf because we were stopping them from closing) but I couldn’t help notice something. (1/5)

I’ve always struggled whenever there are multiple conversations going on. Not necessarily in terms of volume but simply following a thread of a topic - I tend to listen in and try to keep up as best I can. But tonight, I was more aware of the fact that people rarely spoke to me. In fact, I often felt sandwiched between opposite ends of the table, caught between two groups but not really contributing to either of them. (2/5)

I think I’ve missed the whole goose thing today. What’s happening? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can anyone help? I have an ASD friend who has written a YA fantasy novel (her first) but is unsure how to go about marketing it. Is there anyone here who can recommend artists for a cover, assistance in writing a synopsis or advice for selling her manuscript to publishers - or whether self publication is best for her? Please #boost for visibility. #WritersOfMastodon #AuthorServices

Another failed assassination attempt? I’m guessing he’s still worried about the midterms then. Or am I being too cynical? 😒

It appears as though there’s an influx of scam accounts hitting the Fediverse - I’ve reported and blocked three of them in about ten minutes. Watch yourself and be smart, peeps. 🫤

I hope everyone’s mental health isn’t struggling too much following the chaos of this week. Reach out to those close to you and let them know they’re not alone. I know I will. 🤝

Question for pantsers - I feel like I have nicely wrapped up my first act but I'm unsure how to proceed from here as I make it up as I along. Does anyone have any advice on how to keep up the momentum? 🤔 #WritersLife

#WritersCoffeeClub Mar 3: On what are you unwilling to compromise?

Hard to say this early into proceedings. Everything is still kinda fluid so if characters develop differently to how I imagined then so be it. So long as I am respectful and accurate in representing them, that’s all I can hope for.

Yes, I’m still worried about writing a trans person as a cis-male white guy (is that the terminology?) but would appreciate any feedback on this.

#WritersCoffeeClub Mar. 2: Does your overall goal differ from project to project?

Not sure. The screenplay turned more into a therapeutic experience as I processed what I was going through at the time. But my current WIP isn’t a screenplay at all but me finally getting down characters I’ve had in my head for over 20 years, hopefully into a story that benefits from that life experience. What the ultimate goal is, who knows? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just wanted to say that I bought my first stim toy this week for myself and I love it. #ActuallyAutistic

Please bear in mind that all of my toots are mere reactions to the world around me. There is nothing to be inferred other than the unfiltered and flawed thinking of this particular idiot.

I’m autistic and I live in a very black-and-white world with almost no shades of grey in between. At NO point do I ever intend to provoke, offend, troll or otherwise come across as a dick. I’m just trying to make sense of the world & sometimes, it just doesn’t make any sense at all. Please be patient with me.
