Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate Disabled people, honor the disability rights movement, and recommit to building communities where everyone can participate safely and fully.

We’ve created a comprehensive guide exploring the history of Disability Pride Month, the connection between disability and public health, and why masking, cleaner indoor air, testing, and flexible participation options are essential parts of accessibility.

For many Disabled people, another COVID infection can have especially serious consequences. Wearing a well-fitting respirator (N95 or equivalent) helps reduce transmission, protects those around you, and creates safer, more accessible spaces. Some Disabled people cannot mask themselves, making community masking even more important.” At the bottom: “whn.global” and “World Health Network — Science for a safer, healthier world.”
Black graphic with white and yellow text reading: “How you can help: Support accessibility by: Wearing a respirator in shared indoor spaces, especially healthcare settings. Improving indoor air quality with ventilation or HEPA filtration. Providing masks and rapid tests at events. Offering outdoor or hybrid participation options when possible. Disability Pride is about celebrating Disabled lives while building communities where everyone can participate safely, with dignity, and without unnecessary barriers.
