My #Apple 16" M1 #MacBookPro has just rebooted itself... again. It was fully charged; I closed the lid and left it for a few minutes to get a cup of tea. When I came back it re-booted. It's happened a few times recently. Running Sonoma 14.8.5. Anyone have any ideas what could be happening? Running #BitDefender which seems happy...

Great Spotted Woodpeckers. I caught a glimpse of this recently fledged juvenile - the one with red cap - a few days ago but today was the first day I’d seen it clear enough for a picture. This is the male parent feeding it. The male has a red mark on the back of his head whereas the female has no red markings art at all on her head #Aberdeenshire #Scotland

#Spotted at a Gender Bill Protest in Aotearoa New Zealand:

A young human (4?) and Mum are decked out in their best rainbow finery. Sparkly faces beaming as they dance to happy music. Bubbles floating in the air overhead. Passing cars honking their support. Giggles, laughter, joy and love.

A proud trans man (50s?) is giving an emotional, fiery speech, radiating kindness, telling his community that he will hold them, he will support them. That he's been here before and that he'll do it again. The love is palpable. Tears in eyes.
The hands holding his speech shaking with emotion.

A youth leader--the personification of a walking hug--is standing at the side of a stage, hand on their chest, offering love and support as a number of young people speak up for their rights. Expression heartfelt, tears in eyes. The pride is real.

A teen (14) is standing on a stage before a crowd, reading from a notebook filled with dense, curving hand writing. Radiating reluctance to speak publicly but wanting to do it anyway to defend their right to exist. Earnest, honest and brave. This is true heroism.

A teen (13?) in colourful clothes is hugging a plushie shark for moral support while giving approaching friends a shy smile.
They might be a little nervous about this big crowd of laughing and chatting people, but Plushie Support Shark's got their back. It's going to be okay.

Like, get enough stuff, any stuff, together anywhere in space and it will start rotating and form a disk. And attract more stuff. Then, if you have enough stuff in your disk a ball will form in the middle. If there’s enough stuff in the ball it will start to glow.

You just need lots of space, some stuff and a billion years, bam, star. Works every time. Like magic.

Hello lovely people: This is a snapshot of my wonderful rainbow community here in Nelson New Zealand.

A friend posted this picture on Facebook today and dealt with some absolute vileness. They stood up to it but shouldn't have had to. And despite the negativity, they're still here, still resilient, still joyful. 🌈❤️

We were gathering to protest against the gender bill going through NZ parliament right now.

But the worst one is batteries. Most people now (hopefully!) know you shouldn't put batteries in your domestic waste, but only recognise batteries as the little AA cylinders rather than recognising batteries as being in little household things like toothbrushes, hearing aids, ear pods or vibrators where they're sealed in and invisible. Vapes are a huge one, and although single use vapes have been banned vapes with a recharge port at a similar price point are still being treated as single use disposable items. These cause a lot of fires in waste collection lorries when they're compacted, but also fires at waste management plants which want the fire in one place only, the kiln. So remove batteries from small electronic devices for disposal if you can, and if you can't dispose of the whole device in the battery recycling bin that every shop selling batteries should by law have available.

So basically stick your broken sex toys in the clear plastic battery bin in Sainsburys
