Sometimes dice rolls have advantage ⬆️ or disadvantage ⬇️. Advantage causes you to perform the roll twice, taking the higher value. Disadvantage causes you to perform the roll twice, taking the lower value.

Example of disadvantage: attack roll when attacking a flying monster with a melee weapon.
Example of advantage: attack roll when attacking a monster vulnerable to the damage type.
