@sundogplanets the Apennines, specifically in the Marche Region, Italy. We were looking for a place to stay in a village, but everything was full, and ended up in a small old house converted into a b&b in the middle of nowhere. I made a drawing of it in my sketchbook, and have been drawing starry nights compulsively afterwards for quite sometime (still do, but after that night it was really an obsession for a while)
