To amateur radio people who help with communications of events: how do you organize your radio memories?

Do you just use the "next slot" on each radio for new frequencies, or do you reserve a few slots with the same ids on each radio (I have two HT plus a mobile radio, each has over a hundred memories).

I'm thinking of putting event freqs on memories 100, 101, 102, etc. But wondered what other systems might exist for organizing?

My radio club had to suspend operations for hours due to lightning. I would absolutely work with these guys and gals again when lightning threatens. Perhaps unlike the group I was with last night, who while friendly, worked through a lightning show. Hey, it's a contest, sure, but I want to live to see how I ranked.

Glad to see bathtub drain liquid dynamics around the parking lot drains around here this aftetnoon.

We had an hours-long deluge, with hours-long lightning/thunder displays. https://lightningmaps.org had a big yellow-orange blob obscuring Ottawa (the whole thing) on the map for hours -- soooo many strikes.

I had a very pleasant day yesterday, counting bicycles at a communication station on the Rideau Lakes Bicycle Tour and not scrolling. Just sitting in the country and counting bicycles and playing radio.

Maybe I will do less scrolling and more other stuff, esp. in summer time.

Today, I am powering my phone from a power inverter connected to a big-ass (well big for me anyway) 54Ah LiFePO battery. Just trying it out to see how it goes.
