Reasons why the internet has gone out at work so far:

- a normal internet outage occurred and the celluar internet backup reset its settings after a firmware update causing it to disconnect from the internet
- UPS that network equipment is plugged into died
- the company that we pay to pay our internet bills didn't do their fuckin job
- lost power over night and upon restoration, a loopback error was occurring due to both ports on a VOIP phone being plugged into the wall
- a semi truck took out a power line pole, stopped at the sound, didn't see the damage, assumed it was okay, and proceeded to take out two more poles.

I have worked here for approximately 4 months.

not to brag, but I'm my girlfriend's wife's favorite wife's girlfriend

Deleted the missing person post I made for privacy since she has been found.

trans,
but not in a "I've actually always been a girl" way,
more in a...
"fuck you I won't do what you told me" way, and what they told me was that I was a boy.

dear chat, why does my linux machine not want to startup right if my steam controller is plugged in?

it always like, hangs? on something during the whole bootup process, idk
it hangs and then I unplug the controller and then it continues like normal.

bizzare.

not super invested in fixing it bcuz unplugging it seems to be sufficient enough but if someone out there is like "oh of course, you're suffering from this classic issue, here's the solution" that'd be rad.

(some) Allistic people will get upset at programming computers for the same reason that they will get upset at autistic people, and it's because the computer or autistic person did exactly what you told them to do and the allistic person struggles to communicate literally.

Have you tried self-hosting? It's on Docker. It's literally on Yunohost. It's on Cloudron with ads. You can probably host it on PikaPods. Dude it's on Elestia. It's a Zeabur original. It's on ClawCloud. You can run it on ClawCloud. You can go to ClawCloud and run it. Log onto ClawCloud right now

I like my girls like I like my modded Skyrim: different, unstable, barely functional, and quite frankly way too many things going on

the bar i went to had "approach me" and "fuck off" bracelets

i feel like we oughta have some sorta universal symbol you can wear in public that says "hi, I would like to meet and socialize with strangers" and I could wear it to like the park or library or cafe or some shit.

you are meow

"boobs or ass?"
bro, her TAIL

non-metric units tend to be odd numbers because they usually reference something human scale.

Celsius doesn't see the same metric prefix use as other metric units (milli, centi, kilo, etc.)

the primary difference between Celsius and Fahrenheit is the scale.

0-100° Fahrenheit describes the typical range of natural human experience.

i can accept that metric units are better for a lot of things but I refuse to accept that Celsius is a better temperature scale for weather and heat that humans experience.
