Condoms with a durian fragrance is one of oddest things I've ever seen. I guess some people actually *like* the smell of durian?

It's a strawflower day!

Here you go — a spectacular dahlia!

So we have something interesting on the ballot for my county.
https://www.greenbelt.org/blog/vote-yes-measure-l-sanmateo/

San Mateo County voters have a chance to do something few counties in California have done: write climate resilience directly into their charter.

Measure L would amend the preamble of the San Mateo County Charter to designate long-term resilience to extreme weather events, including fire, flood, wind, rain, heat, drought, and sea level rise, as a County priority.

Most climate resilience commitments live in strategic plans, resolutions, or budget line items. Those tools matter, but they can be rewritten or quietly dropped by a future board with different priorities. A charter is different. It’s the County’s foundational governing document, the one that outlives every single Board of Supervisors, budget cycle, or election.

No farmers market today because it's Pumpkin Festival weekend. But I have plenty of flower photos from prior weeks.

How about some sunflowers?

Cosmos feels like a good flower for today.

Can never have too many dahlias!

A good article about the BS of saying AI agents “went rogue.”
https://www.csoonline.com/article/4234854/ai-agents-arent-going-rogue-frontier-labs-are-skipping-security-basics.html

Although press reports and the model providers themselves use language such as rogue agents or misalignment, cybersecurity experts who spoke with CSO argue that language obscures a simple truth: These incidents were caused by inexcusable failures by the frontier labs to implement cybersecurity practices that have been well-known for decades.

Trucks lined up with their pumpkins, waiting to be taken for Pumpkin Weigh-Off weighing. It's quite the production to get each one weighed!

It's going to be a pumpkin day, so let's start the day with some marigolds to match the day's color theme.

I always love this combination of blooms and leaves.

Another #Caturday, another photo of my handsome Tennessee. Who is in need of nail trim, which he'll get in a couple weeks at his next routine vet visit.

The car parked next to mine at the farmers market. Someone has the Halloween spirit!

Another farmers market day. We may be getting near the end of dahlia season, but the sunflowers are going strong!
