I hate when they ask in an interview "So, you got so-and-so to work on your thing. How did you manage that?" The answer is always the same: they/someone they know reached out to the celebrity/'s agent, who said yes. Because that's how that works. For anyone out there looking for the big secret to success in show business, there it is, I just spilled it for you. You're welcome.

Just saw an extremely stupid and long video ranting about how the new Gears of War is a woke mess because, uh, it has women in it, I guess, and they talk and stuff. The funniest complaint by far was that the iconic chainsaw lancer was invented by the wrong character, in an unrealisticly small amount of time. Lore ruined! The existence of an assault rifle with a chainsaw bayonet, on the other hand, needs no further explanation. People use them all the time. To say nothing of the enemies you fight--the flying ballsack monster, the giant frog that pukes acid, the armored lizard with a rocket launcher on its back--all valid and natural paths for evolution to take.

They give it to you early because they know you want it, obviously, and because you can't make a gears game without it. Enter Sergeant Russ. Adam can still take credit for it, a white man steeling a black person's work is like, the most realistic thing to happen in a Gears game. It's so fine.

> Samuel Ward Jr. shot Paris Lee six times outside her Memphis home in June 2022, according to the Shelby County District Attorney's Office. He then drove 30 minutes home, leaving her to die. Ward was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in May 2025.
But the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals in Jackson overturned that conviction on Monday and ordered a retrial. The trial court's judge had disallowed the defense from presenting the victim's identity as a transgender woman in its arguments.

Lookie lookie! During the Artimus II lunar flyby two astronauts at a time were at the windows taking images and having conversations about what they were seeing. We didn’t hear those in the live coverage but all the astronauts described the conversations as incredibly fruitful, and the coverage made vague promises that maybe that audio would be available some day. Well that day arrived! This link is to the Artimus II audio page where you can download short and long versions of those recordings, plus lots of other stuff. Just downloaded it myself and can’t wait to listen! https://www.nasa.gov/artemisaudio/

RE: https://mastodon.online/@9to5google/117413006426722723

OK but will it play my shows without me wanting to throw it out a window?

Asking clarifying questions on somebody else's thread is super white and male and bad. DON'T DO IT!

Yelling at the person who asked those questions, on the other hand, is quite based and a huge value add to any conversation,. Definitely do that.

PLEASE BOOST
I have a friend who is on iPad who needs a Mastodon app that can be used successfully with voice commands. He does not have use of his hands. He tried the official Mastodon app and finds it unusable. Is there another app that might be better? ACTUAL experience helps. Please don't Google this for me or try to give advice on using an iPad. He's a very advanced user. Thank you!

Gifts to Putin will not bring about peace or any benefit to the civilised world. Russia will 'repay' the diesel with further terror and acts of malice.

Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged.

It’s not just a song from Hamilton: immigrants really do get the job done, all •kinds• of jobs. And when you persecute those immigrants, kidnap them, terrorize them, drive them away? Then those jobs •don’t get done•.

The result?

- Food prices up
- Home construction down
- Housing costs up
- Crops rotting in the fields
- Landscaping labor shortages
- Day care labor shortages
- Health care labor shortages
- Job •losses• for •native-born• workers due to economic fallout

Evaluating a #WCAG Success Criterion

Real World Edition

Steps:

1) Take a wild guess

2) Ask another old white man to take a wild guess

3) Call your mum but hang up before she answers

4) Sit on a WG co chair and wait for wisdom to trickle up

5) M-x doctor

6) Ask that teenage whizz kid who wrote on LinkedIn that you should learn one new success criterion every year

7) Apply Gezond Boerenverstand (Dutch Tarnwort of the verzetsverzet dynasty for physical violence)
