My generation grew up knowing that Europe and the US stood together to defeat Hitler.
Future generations will grow up knowing that Europe stood with Ukraine, while the White House sided with the Hitler of our time.

@randahl
You have so many to choose from right now
@randahl I hope future generations will remember that Slovakia and Hungary sided with Hitler *and* with the Hitler of our times.
The apple does not fall far from the tree, as the saying goes.
@randahl Europe also mostly sided with the Hitler of our time, Netanyahu, with a few honorable exceptions like Spain and Ireland.
@fazalmajid I agree. And that is particularly worrisome, because it indicates Israel has way more leverage over elected European politicians than is publicly known.
I perceive that as a disturbingly antisemitic comment from you. I am somewhat convinced that you do not WANT to side with Hitler on the Weltverschwörung, but after this comment am not so sure anymore.
@Gormfull @randahl @fazalmajid
Most politicians are terrified of criticising Israel, despite its documented apartheid, genocide and ethnic cleansing. This is observable fact. Compare that to the world-wide condemnation of the apartheid regime in South Africa, which contented itself just with apartheid.
Since you brought up Hitler, being the descendants of Holocaust victims gives Israel no right to use the tools of the Nazis against Palestinians. Genocide is genocide whoever does it.
@randahl although it has to be said, in terms of people killed, Musk outclasses both Putin and Netanyahu as he is responsible for over 1M deaths, mostly children, by gutting PEPFAR.
The Europeans appease him as well.
@randahl
don't forget that those so-called allies heavily economically profited from the holocaust. many multi-nationals today were actively taking part in that genocidal frenzie, just like many are today in the ongoing #palestinian one, with active participation of our so-called governments. #UK#FR #NL #GE #EU
these are systemic causes i.e #capitalism #authority #hierarchy
@randahl Whitehouse has the Hitler
@randahl To be fair, it took the US over two years and three months to pick a side.
And that was after provoking an attack on Hawaii.
@randahl with the Mussolini of our times in the Whitehouse.
@randahl sometimes I think Europe doesn’t have it what it takes to take a stand. While it claims to be against Russia but still imports gas from it, also imports a hell lot of products from China including EVs which has a major support in the proxy war. Just curious if the reality is any different?
@vsharma2430 Europe is not one country. Poland the Baltics and the Nordics are way more supportive of Ukraine than, say, France.
@randahl why would European Union try to pursue countries for their agenda when they can’t form a consensus within themselves.
@vsharma2430 of you want to criticize other countries, you might want to share your own country on your profile.
Anyone can create anonymous profiles with generated profile pictures, including Kremlin bots.
@randahl I’m from India and don’t really want to criticise EU/member countries but at times wonder how eurocentric views form the narratives that don’t really hold well under a critical reasoning scanner.
A great example of this would be like the EU leaders criticising a energy starved third world country like India to not buy petroleum from Russia ,from their gas heated suites which is again sourced from Russia. Now here the obvious villain would be India, but is it really?
@vsharma2430 while not perfect, the EU reductions are substantial. And even more reductions will happen at year's end.
@randahl looks good. China imports a lot and most of its economy is dependent on exports to the EU and US. But we don’t see any measure by the EU to curb imports from China. Instead, what we see is a rising dependency on Chinese imports.
@randahl Not a good comparison. I don't see industrial killing in Russia and the Russian army is not as effective as the Wehrmacht was.
He is more like Stalin trying to reconquer Finland.
@randahl Well said.
@randahl because then and now a lot of people in Europe are fascist. That doesn’t change.
@randahl I honestly don't understand why American operatives still follow orders from Trump (and their maga management) at this point.
Ignore the requests on shutting down Starlink or stopping intel when missiles are being thrown at Ukraine. Say yes to your boss, but keep on doing what you know is right.
#sabotage
So many Hitlers, hooligans and wannabe thugs with the outstretched arm salute it's a difficult playbook, trying to promote humanity and civilization instead of hatred, racism, war and genocide.
But evil is easy to spot.
That could all change in a couple of weeks. Wish us well for the midterms. The United States stands with Ukraine. Our fascist president and his maggot totes do not. The fascists are everywhere.
