    I am not a massive baseball fan, but a small-market rust-belt team destroying the mighty LA Dodgers, two-time champions who actually went and bent the knee to Donald Trump, and that rust-belt team's superstar giving a postgame interview where his teammate cheerfully translates his Spanish-language joy and analysis to an audience composed of, roughly, 33% racist Dogpatch xenophobes seething at every word he says - seems like a win for fucking EVERYone.

    Now, to be clear, baseball is genuinely the whitest and small-town-athlete-amenable-est sport imaginable so baseball as an institution is a billion times more likely to have guys, even on the Brewers, who blithely boo-yah MAGA bullshit and who might go bend the knee, should they win. I'm just saying, at the moment, the Dodgers DID - empirical - so the Dodgers can fuck off into the sun. We'll deal with the other whiteboy jock garbage as we get to it.

    Ditka just died and, as much as his run with the Bears made me happy for bit of my life, he was also man's man-vapid neo-nazi-endorsing piece of shit and there's no coming back from that, so good fucking riddance. The argument that "his work was bigger than that" lasts exactly up to the point where you ask "Was he pro-concentration camp and pro-masked agents of the state murdering citizens in the street?"     My family has close ties to Madison. We have dear friends there. A kid going to UM jumped off of a building yesterday. Our friend was at work and his colleagues heard the body when it landed. I haven't seen anything about it in the news cycle. I hope the poor kid made it. But I'm just hoping that he did. Wondering if you know anything about it?

    We need to give the kids hope. We need to abolish the billionaires now.

    @GrimmReality Because it's the Dodgers, and when they were in Brooklyn they signed JACKIE ROBINSON to become the first Black player in the Major Leagues after years of a "gentlemen's agreement" that kept Blacks out of baseball.

    There is history here, and any concession to white nationalists is an offense against the team's history. Branch Rickey spinning in his grave.

    @GrimmReality i went to three dodger games this year and i didn’t see the greatness. I saw comfortable. I went to 14 angels games. I saw many teams and bullpens hungry. You raise the bar expect a challenge.
