Flower Spider
Paying attention to the tinier thigs arond me is not without its stress. I was walking past this little dude and didn't notice him until I accidentally brushed his dinner, a captured fly, to the ground. I felt terrible thinking about how long he probably waited for his catch. I walked around looking for another fly to offer him, wondering if I could even bring myself to maim another bug just living its life just to satisfy the spider. The whole thing was producing far more angst than a little walk amongst flowers should produce, so I took his photo and went about my walk. I still wonder if the little guy had to wait long before getting his next chance at dinner.
