Australia: 222 workers died from workplace injuries in 2025, the highest annual toll since 2012.
There were also 147,200 serious workers' compensation claims in 2024–25, averaging over 400 a day.
Vehicle incidents caused 41% of workplace fatalities, followed by falls from heights (13%).
