    A rural Georgia cop shot and killed a small donkey, raised in a petting zoo. The officer was in its paddock with another officer and at least two bloodhounds, looking for a missing 12-yr-old girl, at night, without permission from the landowner.

    The officer claims the petting zoo donkey "charged" them. Improbable, but the dogs might have set this one off. Pity the canine handler didn't stop to consider that farm animals might object to his dogs and back away.

    @huntingdon Grown adults and a bunch of dogs went into a pen with no permission afraid of a little donkey. It sound like he tried to electrocute it first. I hope the owners get a huge settlement and that man remains a laughing stock in his home town.

    If the 12-yr-old girl that crew was looking for was in the paddock, she and the donkey would probably have been together, which adds another wrinkle to the shooting officer's conduct.
