Looks like today’s going to be the day. If you’re travelling the mountain roads in BC today, please take care and plan for delays.

It’s a start.

I mean, ultimately I’d like to see all these grifters, fraudsters and self-dealers face some kind of criminal consequences, but the disclosure from this could provide evidence for future criminal proceedings. It’s frustrating that in the US it seems like the only avenue left to seek justice is through the civil courts. 🫤

Yes, please!

Green Party Leader Emily Lowan:

“If the Greens held the balance of power, it would be my top priority to advocate for a better voting system. A voting system where we’re not caught between lesser evils, where we are choosing between broken promises or service cuts. And I think we can find that system in proportional representation.”

Somebody tell grandpa:

US President Donald Trump said “massive” oil, gas and mineral exploration is set to begin in “our new and beautiful Greenland” early on Wednesday.
It was not immediately clear what exploration or developments the US president was referring to in his post, and Greenland is a self-governing territory of Denmark, rather than a part of the United States.

Thanks to everyone’s feedback I’m currently testing bunny.net with my fname.ca domain.

Onboarding wasn’t super-difficult, there were a few differences with terminology but overall it was fairly intuitive. They offer a 14-day trial that doesn’t require a credit card, so I’m hoping to get a feel for traffic/cost in that time.

Ladies & Gentlemen: the President of the United States of America, someone with virtually unlimited access to information & intelligence from across the globe, has only just now figured out that the guy whose murder they were planning to livestream is a paraplegic.

Is the US the only ‘western’ country with early warning intel?!

If that’s true that should be a massive red flag for Europe.

If that’s not the case then where were Ukraine’s other allies?

US threatens to cut intel sharing, arms shipments to Ukraine in push to protect Russian oil refineries, sources confirm

So, we’re learning more about the deal that the US is putting together with Russia:

According to officials, the proposal revives discussions regarding the release of up to $100 billion in immobilized Russian reserves.

A second incentive centers on reviving a transaction authorizing the sale of foreign assets belonging to Russian oil producer Lukoil. The multibillion-dollar deal would involve an international consortium of Middle Eastern investors, including entities with prior commercial ties to US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Third, Witkoff and Kushner revived an offer that would grant sanctions relief allowing Belarus, Moscow’s primary regional ally, to resume global exports of potash.

So, Putin gets a $100B lifeline, Steve and Jared self-deal themselves into the Russian oil market, and the US gains access to Belarusian potash, reducing their dependence on Canada.
