Hm. Wonder if that will get them into hot water under NIS2.

Dammit. Power fail at hoster killed my VPS just before it hit 3000 days uptime. 😥
Most surprising: it came back up cleanly.
2.8C last night so time to learn from the garden experiments.
I planted a single onion which had germinated. It has split into six small onions while also producing a flower on an enormously long stalk. I'll plant the seeds next year, and I assume I can also plant the dried sets?
The carrots I transplanted from a pot ended up hilariously small, except for one which was only laughably small.
One of my 2 cucumbers tasted well despite the slug damage. Try the other soon.

As Edelruth says: well worth a read.
This message brought to you after suffering multi-hour meetings on "ai", with "ai"-generated BSware.
A good way to spot "ai"-generated slides is their layout. Because apparently the one useful job - taking text and creating corporate ID-compliant slideware - doesn't work.
Because of course it doesn't. The one mindnumbing thing that would actually be helpful. 🤬

I seriously question why we even bother not blackholing all russian ASNs...
The sanding and finishing is done and now the hardest part... Waiting for it to cure so I can touch it and use it.
After I sanded with 120, 220, and 400 grit I glued the legs in. I don't have any clamps with that kind of overhang reach so I improvised with some 25 lb (11.5 kg) weights overnight. It worked a treat and saved me a lot of hassle.
I cleaned up the surfaces by vacuuming and then wiping it with mineral spirits.I cleaned up my bench top too and vaccumed it to prevent extra dust during finishing. I mixed up the two part Rustic Lumber finish (oil to hardner 1:5 ratio). I have a lot so I had some glass jars to make some sample packs for my IRL woodworking friends to try it out. But I got distracted and ended up mixing up the same sample so I ended up with more than twice as much as I needed 😬
The finish was easy to apply and then buff out after 15 minutes. It looks a bit dull while the finishing is absorbing but there's some nice sheen after you wipe it off, not shiny but nice sheen. I finished the bottom and sides then moved on to the top after. After wiping it down, I took it outside in the sun to show off the beautiful grain. All this work to make it look like I did nothing at all!
It'll cure for a week and then it'll be a while before I can put it in service so there'll be one last post to show it in its final location at some point. Thanks for coming along on this journey!

4 hour workshop where 2 hours were spent discussing what it is actually about, and the second 2 hours writing out postits that had absolutely nothing to do with the subject.
I would literally have felt better arguing 4 hours with an "ai" bot over a random subject. 😬
Interesting to see the world's mightiest military (their words) will fly their bombers to safety if Duffy parks his plumber van too close to the fence.

Summer in October is a bit weird but ok.

Starting work on next year's crop.

Finally done. Pretty warm still but that might change quickly now. At least I'm ready for it. 😄
