OK here are the responses to this week's #FediFridayWinlinkNet question: "How would you rate your PL-259 soldering skills?"

- Lousy
- unknown
- crimp - don't solder!
- I can do it but way out of practice!
- deteriorated with age, but I can still put one together
- lets' just say that I buy crimp connectors
good enough
- not bad
- acceptable on a good day
- 3/10. I haven't burned myself in a while
- Good
- below average
- -1 on a scale of 1-10
- Compression connectors FTW!
- Never soldered one before
- I resorted to crimping
- Freakin' ninja

If you live in #Denver or #Colorado, you should know that the #library (DPL) is changing in a big way. The budget is tight and they’re using the budget problem to fundamentally change how we operate. We have always served ALL the people of Denver including the unhoused and Refugees & Immigrants. Those of us on the frontlines spend time helping people find the services they need - we’re not just making library cards and checking in and out books. /1

Good morning, folks. Coffee onboarding has started ☕

Today is my first day of teaching this semester! Getting caffeinated to prepare. Best part of the job. (Teaching, not caffeination)

Wow. Today was a helluva day at work. I'm glad it's over.

On another note, half of my meetings this week have "AI" in the name somewhere.

Happy Monday, folks.

I finished the Project Hail Mary movie last night and thought it was very good. I really, really enjoyed the book! I may even re-read it this winter.

Now I'm reading Into Thin Air which for some reason I've never read. I'm enjoying it so far and find Krakauer to be a good writer.

We had 14 check-ins from 3.5 countries (😆 ) for this week's #FediFridayWinlinkNet !

In response to this week's question: Are you planning on buying any new or used radios in the next year? 7 (Y), 1 (Maybe), 5 (N)

And I have updated the web page with this week's check-ins! I'll try to get the past check-ins up to date soon.

Confirmation messages have been sent via #Winlink.

Thanks for participating, and we will see you next week.

I just checked in to the #FediFridayWinlinkNet using APRS Winlink for the very first time. My HT to my own gateway over RF and out to the world.

I think I doubled up the message content, but our fearless Net Control Operator @bud_t will probably get the gist.

You should check in too if your system is digitally ready.
