Oct 23, 2026, 5:55 AM@ChrisMayLA6 To me it seems that in questions of energy security the crux of the matter is do you want to secure your country by paying ever increasing amounts of money per kWh for fossil fuels (thus allowing you to use energy when you want it) or do you rely on a less consistent energy supply based on renewables (likely to be cheaper in the long term) combined with electricity storage systems (either batteries or say water pump storage systems).
