Absolute insanity how Merz and his ilk are doing everything they can to harm Die Linke and to stop a progressive coalition from happening in Berlin. I'm glad the Berlin factions of the SPD and The Greens are not buying it.

This all happening against a backdrop of a CDU/CSU increasingly locking arms with the AfD, their own fair share of scandal and beyond proven willingness to shaft the people makes it even worse.

    Nothing surprising, still utter madness.

Also not quite sure how I feel about Die Linke constantly making gestures to prove false the erroneous accusations lobbed against them but I can sort of understand it. Not sure if it'd be politically smart but I'd love to see them fight it a little harder though.

@thisislieven with the media coverage they are constantly faced with? Always the mention of the alleged antisemitism, lobby until you go blue in the face, so bloody obvious. Not even the Jews are falling for it.

@connynasch I really hate how antisemitism is now just used as a default moniker to disqualify any person or movement critical of Israel while completely ignoring actual antisemitism, not unlike the complete denial there are many Jewish people who strongly oppose Israel's actions.

And the same time we can all have a jolly good time being Islamophobic.

The whole thing gets me beyond angry. And it's not just Germany where this is happening.
